Jewel’s Future Includes A New Book, New Album & New Razor
Jewel will release her new book, Revealing Jewel: An Intimate Portrait From Family And Friends, via Atria Books in June. The book includes contributions from the singer’s friends and family, as well as celebrity contributors such as Billy Bob Thornton, her boyfriend Ty Murray, and Moby.
The book’s debut will coincide with the release of her as-yet-untitled new album, which is due out June 3 from Atlantic Records. The album is the follow-up to 2001’s This Way, which has sold 1.49 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The first single from Jewel’s forthcoming album, “Intuition,” has been selected by Schick as the music for its new $40 million ad campaign launching the company’s new Intuition razor. In addition, Jewel will perform live in a free concert at Rumsey Field in New York’s Central Park on May 10. The event, billed as Schick’s Intuitionfest, is to celebrate the debut of the company’s latest razor.
Jewel is also scheduled to perform on NBC’s Today show Summer Concert Series on May 30.
