Toni Braxton Behind The Music Airing On VH1; Singer Accused of Bankruptcy Fraud
@tonibraxton – Award winning singer and musician Toni Braxton, 45, has been accused of bankruptcy fraud and allegedly avoiding creditors, reports say. Braxton is being accused of placing $53,000 in the account of her estranged husband Keri Lewis.
The singer is being accused of placing the money into Keri Lewis’ account to avoid paying creditors prior to her bankruptcy case which she filed in 2010. Her debts owed are believed to be between $10 million and $50 million in total.
According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, the money was earmarked to repay creditors and Lewis is being sued by the trustee of Toni Braxton’s bankruptcy estate. A rep for Toni Braxton reportedly stated that it was moved legally for business matters and there is proof.
In addition to all the gossip surrounding this matter, Toni Braxton’s Behind The Music special will be airing on VH1 at 9PM CST.
In the special, Toni Braxton speaks for the first time on her career, strict religious upbringing, health problems (diagnosis with lupus), her son’s autism, when she first faced bankruptcy after selling 20 million albums and more.
